The world of Claymore, inhabited by humans and flesh eating monsters called Yoma, is a world of violence and tragedy. In order to combat the Yoma menace, a secretive group of humans known as the \"Organization\" have joined together. Using the Claymores, half-human, half-yoma beings named for the large Claymore swords they carry, they have created a business in which a Claymore dispatches a Yoma in return from a fee from the client village. One such Claymore named Clare comes to a small town to complete a job. While there, she saves a young boy named Raki from the Yoma.
